"320 feet and counting of the new 600-foot wastewater outfall pipe that is currently being assembled by Sargent Construction on the beach. Once completed, the new pipe will be floated over to its permanent resting spot, sunk and then pulled back through a directionally drilled hole, where it will afterwards be attached to the treatment plant sometime in early February. The $600,000 project is financed through the USDA, most of which is grant money that does not have to be paid back.”

2012-01-30 Offshore Store, a sketch drawn by Bob Witherill of the store on Frenchboro. “This was a harbor refuge during a windy day last summer and several of the crews hung out there and enjoyed their delicious food. The Offshore Store is a relative newcomer at Frenchboro and is operated by a family of five, with lobstering, baking, and a rental facility. Lobster rolls, crab rolls, coffee and other beverages are served here, as well as boiled lobster and crabs. In the bakery, everything from cinnamon rolls to homemade bread and blueberry pie are produced.”
