2011-06-27 Grad of the Day Alli Webster. Mother Lisa writes, “Alli graduated from Radnor High School (western Philadelphia suburbs) on June 15. She’s pictured here with her best friend, Elyse Pitock (left), who will be visiting Bayside just after the Fourth of July. Alli, an accomplished rower, will be attending Cornell University in the fall, where her brother, Dan(ny) just completed his sophomore year, and she’ll be rowing for Cornell.” Congratulations, Alli! 2011-06-29 A view from Greg Bauer’s waterfront quarters at the WoodenBoat School in Brooklin, ME. “I've been an alum of the school for a number of years and, last June, I joined the faculty when I taught a two-week course on small boat repair. 2011-08-29 Mirabella V, photographed by Walter Hickman anchored off Bayside to ride out the storm. Jim Huning writes, “It is the largest single-masted yacht in the world. It was built in 2003 for the CEO of Avis Rental Car (we try harder!!!) but since sold. It is 247 feet long (the mast is 292 feet) and accommodates up to 20 guests. And, if you’re interested, you can charter her for $250,000 a week! Sign me up!” The main sail is almost 17,000 square-feet.
