Northport Yacht Club Sailing School (NYC Clubhouse; Registration at 9 AM) Weekly program offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings throughout the summer. All children 9 and older may participate for a week or for the whole summer. Swimming test is required for new students. Report to the NYC Clubhouse by 9 AM Monday, with a personal flotation device if you have one. NYC Sailing School alumni of ALL AGES are invited to participate in the first ever NYC Retired Daysailer Skippers Race! Boats will be provided. Bayside Historical Preservation Society Annual Meeting (Community Hall; 6 PM) The Bayside Historical Preservation Society presents "The Maine Frontier: Through the lens of Isaac Walton Simpson." Come and see what Maine frontier life of logging camps, farms, and railroad tie camps was like via the stunning photographs of Simpson. This multimedia event combines live music and film by Wiscasset artist Sumner McKane. The BHPS will have its Annual Meeting at the Bayside Community Hall at 6 pm followed by "The Maine Frontier" at 7 PM. Free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

Wings & Wheels Spectacular & Aerobatic Airshow (Owl’s Head Transportation Museum, Owl’s Head; 9 AM-3 PM) Classic cars, WWII Warbirds and assorted aerobatic performances will headline the Museum’s most impressive event of the season. The Wings & Wheels Spectacular is the Museum’s longest running annual event; the inaugural airshow, known affectionately as “The Rally,” was first held in 1975. In 2015 the airshow drew a crowd of nearly 5,000 spectators throughout the weekend!
