Maine Lobster Festival (Harbor Park, Rockland) This world famous “original lobster festival” is one of New England's great summer events. Tons of steamed Maine lobsters served along with pageantry, waterfront activities, maritime displays and demonstrations, Maine arts and crafts, visits to Navy and Coast Guard ships, harbor cruises, contests, lots of wonderful entertainment, a giant parade, international lobster crate race, children's activities and much more. Centennial Wednesdays (Community Hall; 7 PM) See recurring events. This week: “The Belfast Maskers & The Marsh River Theater: And Then There Were None." Ten strangers gather in a mansion on an isolated island after receiving mysterious invitations. Once they arrive, each is accused of getting away with murder at some point in their pasts. Who will pay for these past sins? Who will be the next victim? And who is the real villain behind this masterful scheme? Adults, $15; children 17 and under, $10.

Northport Yacht Club Fun Races for Kids and Open Potluck Supper (NYC Clubhouse; 4 PM, potluck about 5:30 PM) All kids 10 and over are welcome! Cookout/potluck immediately follows, at about 5:30 PM. Centennial Illumination Saturdays The Village will glow on Saturday evenings! Participating cottages, along with public buildings, will be adorned with lanterns, making evening strolls and porch hopping even more enjoyable. Suggested lantern purchase sources available at www.bayside100.org.

Centennial Remembrance Service (Bayside Library; 7:30 PM) A non-denominational service for personal remembrances, along with candle lighting, music (by Heidi Von Bergen), poetry and a prayer. The Centennial Walkway will be dedicated as part of this event.
